The cabins are located in the heart of the Cook Forest State Park which is 8500 acres or wooded area, rolling hills and mountains. The log cabins have fireplaces and full kitchens, plus outdoor cooking options. There are Veteran and winter specials. During summer, cabins need to be rented weekly with check in on Saturdays. In other seasons, there is a two-night minimum stay required. Pets are welcome for an additional fee and are limited to two per cabin. The cabins are managed by Cook Forest Cabins.

Fair Winds in the Forest Cabins & Lodge
Also under the management of Cook Forest Cabins, there are seven cabins and a lodge, located near Clarington, between the Cook Forest and Clear Creek State Parks. The cabins sleep between 2 and 8 people and Cider House Lodge can accommodate up to 16 people, in four bedrooms and a loft area. Pets are allowed and there is a 20% discount in winter. There are several activities in the area, including half marathons, geocaching and county fairs. Trout season opens in mid-April. The Kids Fishing Derby, the Living History weekend, Festival of the Trees and Snowmen in the Forest are some of the region's annual events.

Whispering Oaks Cabins, Pennsylvania
These cabins are also managed by Cook Forest Cabins. They are situated near Leeper, at the northern corner of the Cook Forest State Park. The park is a National Natural Monument and has been rated among America's top 50 parks. There are seven log cabins, sleeping between two and eight guests, which would include infants and children. They are pet friendly, subject to an additional fee and a limit of two per cabin. There are 47 miles of hiking trails and 24 miles of multi-purpose tracks in the park. The Sawmill Center for Arts is nearby.

There are 9 cabins, all named after bears, on this wooded property near Cooksburg. They sleep between two and twelve people each and are situated far apart making them private and secluded. There is also a farmhouse built in 1896 which has five bedrooms and two full bathrooms and sleeps 12 people. Pets are permitted. The Mercantile shop on the premises sells gifts, groceries and clothing. It also serves pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and sundaes. The fishing season begins in spring. Trout and bass are among the species caught in the Clarion River.

This wooded retreat in the Pennsylvania Wilds offers accommodation for 36 people in 10 cabins. Five of the cabins are designed for romance. They sleep two people and each have a hot tub to relax in. The other cabins can sleep 4-6 people each and are separated by woodlands and streams. Groups are welcome at Wapiti Woods. The site is in elk country, close to Benezette Township and the Sinnemahoning Creek. The walking trail along the old Buffalo and Western Railroad track runs through the area and there is a lumber museum nearby.

There are four properties available for rental on Turkey Ridge Lane, Leeper, close to Cook Forest. The Lodge has a loft and a full deck and is surrounded by mature oaks. There are eight double beds and one single in the double-story hilltop cabin. Riverview sleeps between 10 and 14 people in the basement, ground floor and loft. The large open plan gathering room has massive windows overlooking the river. Creekside has three bedrooms and a loft. The deck and the two-story wall of windows have views of the hemlock thicket and the creek. Wagon Wheel cabin is cozy and ideal for a romantic getaway.

Great Valley Cabins
This enterprise was established in 2014, near Wellsboro in the Pennsylvania Wilds. There are five cabins which sleep between 4 and 13 people. Each cabin has unique décor, with air conditioning, heating and ceiling fans. There are craft and other specialty shops in Wellsboro, as well as a range of restaurants. The Corning Museum of Glass, which chronicles 3500 years of the history of glass, is just over the border in New York. Also in upstate New York, in the Finger Lake area, there are more than 100 wineries and breweries.

Cook Forest Top Hill Cabins, Pennsylvania
There are 13 cabins on this 22 acre property. They can accommodate between two and eight people each. There are 30 miles of hiking trails in the nearby Cook Forest State Park with highlights such as the old growth forests and the Forest Cathedral. There are black bears, elk and white-tailed deer In the park. From the top of the 80 foot Fire Tower, visitors have uninterrupted views of the forest and the surrounding area. There is plenty of man-made entertainment for children, including go-karting, bumper boats and mini-golf. The Sawmill Art Center is also in the vicinity.
