There are seven cabins on their large wooded property which is teeming with wildlife. The private cabins have large picture windows and porches overlooking the trees.

On arrival, guest will find fresh berries in season, free range eggs, smoked bacon and biscuit dough. Everything that is needed for the DIY breakfast is sourced from neighbors.

9E Ranch Cabins


The 9E ranch is in the 13 mile belt of Lost Pines, so called because they are separated by 100 miles from the main Loblolly Pine forest that stretches across Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. There are four secluded cabins on the 320 acre wooded property, each with its own characteristics.

They all offer an opportunity to experience a Texas ranch lifestyle, wind in the trees, starry skies and encounters with wild turkey, horses and Texas Longhorns.

Anderson Creek Cabins


There are four creekside cabins at Anderson Creek. The 15 acre property is situated on the Paluxy River and is home to Texas wildlife.

Each cabin is 600 square foot with beds for two. Visitors are welcome to bring bedding for additional guests.

The kitchens are fully equipped and each cabin has a private campfire circle.

There are several restaurants in nearby Glen Rose, should visitors wish to dine out.

Rainbow Spa is across the creek and offers a relaxing one hour long rainbow treatment, designed to relieve pain and tension.

The Fossil Wildlife Center and Dinosaur Valley State Park are also in the area.

Cabin Creek is near the Texas Rose Horse Park, in Lindale, east Texas. There are five distinctly different cabins on the large wooded property, accommodating at least four people each. Next to Hunter Hollow is a 480 square foot shaded deck with outdoor cooking facilities and seating for 10-12 people. The rustic Home Place is the original cabin and still has its iron roof. Leaning Tree is almost 1000 square foot indoors with more space on the porches. It has two bedrooms with a king-sized bed in each. Cedar Loft and Aspen are made from wood off the property. One of Texas' top 10 swimming holes is on this property near Leakey, about 100 miles west of San Antonio. There are a total of 14 cabins, most with their own private acreage and river frontage. In total, the wooded property measures 175 acres with more than two miles of river running through it. Dennis Cornelison is an ordained minister and can officiate at weddings, conduct baptisms and provide Biblical counseling. There are 5 cabins and the original family homestead available for rental at the Creekside Camp & Cabins. Grand View House has five bedrooms and a table that seats 14 people. Deer Lake Cabins Ranch Resort


For almost two decades, this 800 acre property was a family's private retreat. In the early 2000s, they decided to open it to others and have created a resort. There are 15 lakeside and ranch-side cabins and cottages on Double S Ranch, accommodating between 2 and 16 people.

Foxfire Log Cabins


The Foxfire Log Cabins are located on the Sabinal river, in Texas Hill Country. This rural area is off the beaten track, a place where the stars compete with fireflies at night. The river has interest for all ages, including a swimming hole and rapids. There are seven two-bedroom cabins, clustered in a horseshoe around the Main House. Frio Pecan Farm Log Cabins


This is a working pecan farm. Eight varieties are grown in the orchards and the enterprise has won more than 550 awards for its produce. There are 11 vacation homes and 17 log cabins for hire on the farm. There is also a 7000 foot square pavilion available which is suitable for weddings, family reunions and other special occasions. Seating can be arranged inside or outdoors. The farm is also home to the wildlife and abundant birdlife that are attracted to the cool waters. The latter venue provides opportunities for swimming and tubing on the river, birdwatching and playing golf.
