The Orange Couch


Stylish and modern, The Orange Couch is a popular local coffeehouse in Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans. Small and cozy, it feels like a welcoming living room, with comfortable couches and armchairs and small tables where young folks work on their computers, chat with friends and enjoy hot or cold coffee beverage.

There is something for everyone, including more exotic mixes such as Vietnamese drip coffee with condensed milk. There are only eight tables and a few more on the sidewalk and they are full most of the time. They offer pastries, cookies, bagels, ice creams and light eats with their coffees. The café is a popular local gathering spot and there is often an impromptu jazz concert.

Envie Espresso Bar & Cafe coffeehouse is located just a short walk from the famous French Market. It is charming and colorful, elegant and friendly at the same time. What started in 1995 as a new kind of coffee house in the heart of New Orleans grew into a well-known chain of popular shops with 38 locations all over the country. The Bean Gallery is a popular mid-City's specialty coffee shop since 2007. Spacious and welcoming, it is a pleasant spot where locals come for their favorite coffee beverage, a fresh pastries or light meal like lox and bagel. Most guests are trying to do a bit of work on their computer, chatting with friends or having a quick networking meeting. The walls are covered with the original artwork from local artists offered for sale and the communication board has notices of available jobs, local activities, lost dogs and other locally important news. The range of available coffees is huge, from Turkish coffee to espresso and everything in between. The best seats are outside on the spacious deck.

Cafe Bon Ami


Cafe Bon Ami is an espresso bar located in the New Orleans Central Business District in a beautifully decorated modern space with exposed brick walls, high ceiling and sleek furniture. Café Bon Ami offers excellent espresso, coffee, latte, cappuccino, cortado, americano, cold brew, tea and mocha from New York’s Cafe Grumpy and locally made pastries and treats from Gracious Bakery, Girls Gone Vegan, Acalli Chocolate, and Second Line Snacks. The café occupies a building constructed in 1858 as a cotton exchange. Visitors can step into one of the original vaults that were preserved during the renovation.

Zotz Cafe


In New Orleans, the city with so many amazing, unique and often quirky coffee shops, Zotz Cafe manages to stand out. Coffee Science


Coffee Science is an espresso and coffee bar on S. Broad Street near the courthouse, located in the beautifully renovated 100-year old shotgun house the city was ready to tear down. It is bright, colorful and spacious, with large porch and garden in the back, and the best coffee their space-age machines can make. It helps that they use coffee roasted in the best local roasters such as Congregation Coffee, Hey! Cafe, Mojo Coffee House and French Truck Coffee. They also serve fresh donuts and pastries, cold sandwiches and ready-made salads. While fairly new, Coffee Science is quickly becoming a community hangout where neighbors could walk in and know most of guests.
