Belfast Harborwalk

The Belfast Harborwalk is a flat, simple, and popular stroll along the harbor in Belfast, Maine. The Harborwalk begins on the east side of The Armistice Footbridge that crosses over the Passagassawakeag River. The walk travels through the Front Street Shipyard and up towards Marshall Wharf Brewing Company and Main Street, where many restaurants and shops are located. It then meanders past City Landing before passing through Heritage Park and then Steamboat Landing. This easy walking trail ends near the Belfast Boathouse, where a good view of the city’s outer harbor can be found before returning to the Footbridge.

Belfast Historical Society & Museum


The Belfast Historical Society & Museum dedicates itself to collecting, conserving, preserving, and interpreting a wide array of artifacts related to the history of Belfast, Maine. Guests at the museum can explore interpretive displays, postcard collections, maps, vintage photographs, and much more. There is also a library and an extensive archive collection for research purposes. Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad


Based out of Belfast, the Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad provides opportunities for round-trip weekend excursions for visitors and locals alike from City Point Station. Running on a season basis, these train trips are typically offered from the weekend of Memorial Day through around the end of October. The Blue Alpaca


The Blue Alpaca is a working Alpaca Ranch just a short distance from the downtown district. This small ranch provides free tours for visitors who want to meet the resident alpacas, as well as Alpaca Walks. During these walks, guests will have the chance to walk with the alpacas during the 30-minute guided tour of the grounds of the Blue Alpaca ranch. Each visitor will get to lead an alpaca. The Blue Alpaca also has a store on the Belfast Harborwalk and offers a wide variety of Alpaca services and products, such as boarding services, alpaca sales, and high-end alpaca apparel.
