One of Edmond's most popular spots for outdoor recreation, Arcadia Lake is a man-made reservoir on the Deep Fork River, and it's a wonderfully peaceful oasis despite being located entirely within city limits. Edmond Historical Society & Museum


Established to preserve Edmond's fascinating history and heritage, the Edmond Historical Society & Museum is housed inside a historic sandstone building that was built in 1936 to serve as an armory. The permanent exhibits were designed with all ages in mind, and they're arranged in chronological order beginning with 1886 when the town was nothing but a simple train stop. Adults are also welcome to browse the research library, and if you have kids, they can spend some time playing in the Children's Learning Center. Admission is free, but groups of ten or more people are asked to schedule their visit in advance.

Designed with both parents and their children in mind, Unpluggits Playstudio is a unique ceramics studio that offers fun crafts for all ages as well as a large playground for kids to enjoy when they've used up all their creative energy. The paint-your-own-ceramics program is the most popular, but there are plenty of other crafts and activities to enjoy as well, including kid-friendly painting easels, a puppet stage, and a playdough table. There are also private party rooms that can be booked for birthdays and other special events, and customers can also purchase take-home craft kits with complete instructions.

If you love DIY projects, you'll fall head over heels for the things you can create at the AR Workshop Edmond. Their regular scheduled workshops teach participants how to make everything from canvas pillows to wooden wall hangings, and although you'll be provided with all the materials and instructions you need, every project can be customized to suit your own unique style. Workshops typically last between two and three hours, and private parties can be arranged for groups of 12 or more people.
