Grand Lake O' the Cherokees
Grand Lake O' the Cherokees is a 46,500-acre lake on the Grand River, near Grove in northeastern Oklahoma. The lake has 1,300 miles of shoreline with plenty of largemouth bass, white bass, crappie, channel catfish, bluegill and the rare paddlefish to many any angler happy. There are five parks near the lake with huge range of recreational opportunities. Boats can dock at the lake year-round and visitors can rent boating equipment for the weekend. The lake also attracts more adventurous folks with a passion for parasailing and wakeboarding. There are plenty of resorts and lakeside marina restaurants for longer stay.

Honey Creek Area at Grand Lake State Park
Honey Creek Area is a 38-acre park in Grove, on the shore of Grand Lake, a part of the Grand Lake State Park. The park is open year-round and has an outdoor swimming pool, picnic facilities, two shelters and four bathroom facilities with showers. There are plenty of tables and benches for family picnics and for those who like to stay overnight, there are sites for tents and RV campers. Fishermen are the most common visitors, attracted by the lake’s abundance of fish. Honey Creek Area at Grand Lake State Park has a fishing dock, a fish cleaning station, a lighted boat ramp and dock. Of Grand Lake’s 1,300 miles of shoreline, more than 60 miles are within the Ozark Mountains. The best time to visit Honey Creek Area at Grand Lake State Park is September, during the annual Pelican Festival.

Lendonwood Gardens
Lendonwood Gardens is an eight-acre non-profit botanical garden in Grove, Oklahoma. This lush green garden is famous for colorful blooms from more than 1,500 plant species divided into six distinct garden areas: colorful display garden near the entrance, oriental garden, Japanese pavilion, English terrace garden, American backyard garden and the azalea garden. A leisurely walk along paths shaded by massive oak trees will take visitors to the Japanese Pavilion in the center of the main garden. The trail passes by the relaxing koi pond and through surrounding perennial and annual beds. Lendonwood also includes bonsai garden, Japanese maple grove with 75 varieties, hosta garden, 25 kids of dogwoods and huge collections of false cypress and rhododendrons. The Angel of Hope statue, surrounded by a verdant peaceful garden is a lovely relaxing area.

Playmakers Theatre
The Grove Community Playmakers, Inc. was founded in 1995 in Grove, Oklahoma, by Suzanne and Jim Boles. The program of The Playmakers includes four annual productions per season, which resulted in 114 plays in the theatre’s 22 years, combining comedy, drama, mystery, musicals, and youth plays. A Readers’ Theatre produces mostly short comedies, but sometimes one-acts, with 94 performances of plays in this format so far. A Comprehensive Youth Theatre program introduces theatre to all Grove Public School students, through classroom programs and performance opportunities. The Playmakers Theatre also offers additional after-school program of workshops and activities for those interested.

Har-Ber Village Museum
Travel back in time to the Pioneer Era at the Har-Ber Village Museum. Nestled within a 6-acre property, the Har-Ber Village proudly showcases collectibles, antiques, and similar objects from the mid-1800s to the 1900s through just about 100 exhibits. Exhibits can be found within preserved homes, reproductions of old stores, and more from the four-state region of Arkansas, Kansan, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Self-guided tours will take guests down nearly 2 miles of exhibits while maps with guidelines are presented to guests to aid in their experience of the village. Start your visit at the Har-Ber Village Visitor Center for maps, guides, and the like. While the museum is typically open daily, it closes for the winter months and re-opens in March.
