Guthrie is a city in Logan County, Oklahoma and a part of the Oklahoma City Metroplex. After the Land Run of 1889, Guthrie became an important railroad stop. It quickly grew and in 1907 became the first state capital of Oklahoma. Guthrie is famous for its large historic downtown district with more than 2000 mostly Victorian buildings.

Oklahoma Territorial Museum and Carnegie Library is a local history museum that celebrates Oklahoma heritage and history. It is located in the beautiful 1902 Renaissance Revival building, and together with Carnegie library is part of theGuthrie Museum Complex. . The mission of the Museum is to preserve the heritage of Oklahoma with the collection of exhibits and interpretation of archival and material artifacts. The museum documents the most important events in the state including creation of the Unassigned Lands, the Land Run of 1889, the homestead experience and more. Guthrie's Historic Carnegie Library was built in 1902. It was the second Carnegie Library in Oklahoma.

Guthrie Scottish Rite is one of the largest Masonic Temples in the world. The Temple serves as the home of the Scottish Rite in the Guthrie Valley, Oklahoma Orient, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. The construction of the temple started in 1919. It was designed by architects Parr & Hawk in Classical Revival style. The Scottish Rite Temple of Guthrie is historically and architecturally significant because it is one of the finest examples of large scale, Neo-Classical Revival building style in Oklahoma; it is the most elaborately designed and constructed Masonic Temple in the state. It has been recognized as the focal point of state-level Masonic activities since 1923, when it was used for the first time even before it was completed. The Temple is also home of the Guthrie Scottish Rite Museum.

The Oklahoma Frontier Drugstore Museum is located in a historic 1890 building that looks like an old-time drug store. It features an extensive collection of artifacts and memorabilia that tell the story about frontier pharmacies and early drugstores. The original collection was started by pharmacist Ralph Enix and several of his colleagues in the 1970s. They eventually established the Oklahoma Frontier Drugstore Museum, located in the Historic District of Guthrie. The Museum opened in 1992, and is managed by the Oklahoma Pharmacy Heritage Foundation. The Museum collections tell the story of pharmacy and medicine in the 19th and 20th centuries in Oklahoma and Indian Territories. The artifacts also follow the westward migration of pioneers, shopkeepers, families and other health care providers who lived in the frontier regions of the United States.

Historic Downtown Guthrie has always been a fertile ground for stories of spirits, sprights and ghosts. The downtown area is the background for many stories of broken hearts, mysterious happenings, and murderous intent, as can be witnessed by the bullet holes in the ceiling of the Bluebell Saloon or the shuttered windows of the Territorial Jail. As the visitors stroll through the largest historic district in the country, they can enjoy the classic architecture of the Victorian and Edwardian Era. They will hear stories of hauntings, sightings, and the unexplained happenings and if lucky, maybe even experience some of them. Each Guthrie Ghost Walk starts at the Apothecary Garden at the corner of Oklahoma Avenue and 2nd Street. Tours last about 90 minutes.
