Covering over 138 acres, this park is commonly known as TY Park – its full name translates as “gathering place” and that is exactly what it has become for both Hollywood locals and visitors. There are a wide range of activities available at the park and you can play tennis, basketball and volleyball or go walking, skating or cycling along the 2-mile loop path. If you enjoy boating you can rents boats, canoes and paddleboats at the Marina and fishing (from the boats or a pier) is another popular activity. If you visit during the summer months the whole family can have hours of fun at the Castaway Island Water Park which has fun activities for all ages.

Hollywood North Beach Park
Hollywood North Beach Park covers 56 acres nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal. On the ocean side beach-goers can enjoy over a mile of palm-fringed beach where you can soak up the sun. The park is bordered by a paved boardwalk which is suitable for wheelchairs. There are several shady picnic areas with grills and tables on the Intracoastal side of the park, where you will also find a fishing pier. There is plenty of parking on both sides of the park, as well as restrooms and showers. If you are visiting with your pooch you can both have fun at the North Beach Dog Beach, located about half a mile further north.

Anne Kolb Nature Center
Dedicated to protecting and showcasing the unique ecology of South Florida, the Anne Kolb Nature Center is a must-see attraction for all nature lovers. The center is situated on a 1,500-acre coastal mangrove wetland, which is home to many unique or rare and threatened species of plants and animals. There are four separate trails (most of them are short trails suitable for the whole family) which you can explore on foot. You can climb up the observation tower for great views of the estuary, Intracoastal Waterway and the ocean. Bird lovers can spend hours observing and photographing nesting and feeding birds while avid fishermen can practice catch-and-release from the fishing pier. You can also visit the Exhibit Hall to see nature-related artworks and displays.

Yellow Green Farmer’s Market
If you enjoy some weekend market browsing you should be sure to visit Hollywood’s popular Yellow Green Farmer’s Market. The market is open year round on Saturday and Sunday and you will find over 300 vendors occupying the sprawling under-cover facility. The market offers a huge range of farm-fresh produce including fruit and vegetables, fresh-caught fish, free-range and organic poultry. ArtsPark at Young Circle
The first thing you will notice about the ArtsPark at Young Circle is its unusual location in the middle of a 10-acre traffic circle. Art and Culture Center Hollywood
Located in a beautiful historic mansion which dates back to 1925, the Art and Culture Center Hollywood is home to an ever-changing calendar of contemporary visual art exhibitions. In addition to admiring the work of a long list of artists, the center also offers a wide variety of educational facilities for aspiring local artists and several programs specifically geared towards children at its adjacent Arts School. In addition to the visual arts, the center also has a performing arts facility in nearby downtown. Downtown Hollywood Mural Project
Art lovers are invited to come and admire the vibrant murals that make up the Downtown Hollywood Mural Project. The murals were commissioned by the city to enliven and enhance several key locations in Downtown Hollywood. Artists from all over the US and beyond have contributed to this fabulous artistic endeavor and there are 28 murals to discover between 19th Ave and 21st Ave. You are welcome to pick up or download a map at explore at your own pace or join the regular Third Saturday Art Walk for a free guided tour. To join the tour you need to be at the Visitors Center Information Booth on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and 20th Ave.

Marine Environment Education Center
The Marine Environment Education Center is dedicated to Sea Turtle Conservation and to educating visitors about South Florida’s outstanding and unique coastal environment. Visitors to the center will have the opportunity to meet Captain, the resident sea turtle and learn all about her journey to the center after being injured by a boat. Try to schedule your visit to coincide with Captain’s feeding time at 3.30pm each day. The center also hosts regular special events, lectures and hatchling releases, when the public are invited to come and watch new hatchlings as they make their perilous journey from nest to ocean.
