Oxon Hill Manor is located in Oxon Hill, Prince George's County, Maryland. The magnificent neo-Georgian house was designed in 1928 for Sumner Welles by the Washington architect, Jules Henri de Sibour. The 49-room house was built in 1929, and has a two-story main block made of Flemish bond brick and a northern wing. The property also has two outbuildings; a five-car garage, manager's quarters, greenhouse, a stable and formal gardens. Franklin D. Maloof stablished a museum for fine art and John Hanson memorabilia in the house. Later the property came under the management of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.
