Established in 2009, Catoctin Creek Distillery pride themselves on sourcing organic, environmentally sustainable fruit and grain to produce pure, clean, high quality spirits. In 2013 a solar plant was installed, so 85% of electrical usage in the distillery is offset and energy is returned to the public grid. The big red barn-like winery at Two Twisted Posts Winery is where some of the finest grapes in north Virginia are turned into award-winning wines. The name of the winery is derived from an ancient tavern in the UK, where one of the owner/winemakers was born. The vineyards at Two Twisted Posts were planted in 2008 and eco-friendly farming practices are used to coax the vines into producing grapes of exceptional quality. The Bozzo Family Vineyards produced their first significant harvest in 2018. Since then, in just a few short years, Boz wines have won several awards.
