Fort Boonesborough State Park offers several different experiences for visitors, including a historic fort, the Kentucky River Museum, boating, camping, fishing, swimming, hiking, and more. Guests can explore the original fort site used by Daniel Boone and the settlers, head out on a boat to get a great view of the Palisades, fish on the Kentucky River, spend the night or two in the campground, or find unique handmade items in the park’s gift shop. Fort Boonesborough was reconstructed as a working fort and features resident artisans performing craft demonstrations, showcasing what pioneer life was like in Kentucky.

The White Hall State Historic Site is a historic home in Richmond, nestled in the scenic rolling farmland of Kentucky. Constructed during the late 1700s, along with an addition in the 1860s, the historic mansion was designed in the Italianate and Georgian styles, boasting almost ten thousand square feet and including modern innovations for the time period like indoor plumbing and central heating. The White Hall State Historic Site was formerly the home of Cassius Clay, newspaper publishers, politician, emancipationist, friend of Abraham Lincoln, and Ambassador to Russia. The house was originally built by his father, General Green Clay.
