Rijeka is the third largest city in Croatia. It is one of the main seaports of Croatia and it lies on the Kvarner Bay which is part of the Adriatic Sea. The summer months of June, July, and August are the warmest months in Rijeka and this is the peak season when most tourists visit the city. It can be a little crowded and room rates are high. The winter months from November to March are cold months in Rijeka -there are few crowds and room rates are at their lowest. May is cool but not cold; September and October are also not cold. When it comes to the most ideal time to visit in terms of temperature and climate, May through August is the best time to go to Rijeka.
