Canby is a lovely city in Clackamas County, Oregon, located just east of the city of Barlow. The city, which is named in honor of Civil War General Edward Richard Sprigg Canby, is located along the banks of the beautiful Willamette River near the former Aurora Colony 19th-century utopian settlement. Canby is 30 minutes from Portland, Oregon (24.5 miles via I-5 S).
Swan Island Dahlias
Swan Island Dahlias is the United States' largest dahlia growing company, in operation in the city of Canby for nearly a century. The farm, which was originally founded on Swan Island, moved to its location in Canby in the 1940s and is overseen today by married duo Nicholas and Linda Gitts. It produces the flower industry's largest full-color dahlia catalogue, specializing in new hybrid varieties and cultivating over 15,000 seedlings each year. 40 acres of beautiful farmland is covered with more than 370 varieties of dahlia blossoms throughout the blooming season, open to the public during the months of August and September. Each year, the farm hosts the United States' largest dahlia festival, showcasing more than 400 carefully-crafted dahlia arrangements and offering six days of festivities.

St. Josef's Vineyards and Winery
St. Josef's Vineyards and Winery is one of the largest producers of estate wines in Oregon, originally planted in 1978. Today, the winery specializes in food-friendly wines meant to enhance all meals, sold at budget-friendly prices. Grapes are grown at five estate vineyards, all of which are maintained via sustainable methods without the use of pesticides, chemicals, and irrigation practices. Visitors can stop into the winery's lovely public tasting room, which is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the morning hours, and sample favorite wines like the company's Estate Cuvee Pinot Noir, Barrel-Reserve Kitara, and KB Reserve Cabernet and Merlot. The Canby Ferry
The Canby Ferry is an historic cable ferry line connecting the cities of Aurora, Wilsonville, and Stafford via the Willamette River. The ferry service was founded in 1914 and has continued to operate historic passenger cars into the 21st century, offering service for pedestrians, motorcyclists, and bicyclists. As one of three remaining ferries on the Willamette River, the ferry service can transport up to 49 passengers at a time, with room for vehicles and bikes for an additional fee. Visitors can ride aboard the lovely M.J. Lee II cable-guided vessel, which is powered by an underwater cable and overhead line electricity. It is named in honor of Millard Jerome Lee, the first child born in the city of Canby following its incorporation in 1870.

Pat's Acres
Pat's Acres is a local institution go-karting racetrack in the greater Portland area, originally established in 1965 on 43 acres in the city of Canby. The racetrack, which was founded as an employee activity center by Pat Sabin, has historically hosted music acts such as the Mamas and Papas and Paul Revere and the Raiders, in addition to offering go-karting experiences for visitors of all ages to enjoy. National championship karting races are hosted at the venue throughout the year, including races as part of the Superkarts! National SKUSA ProMoto Tour. Molalla River State Park
Molalla River State Park is a place that features a ferry ride, wildlife viewing, boating, fishing, picnicking, hiking, and a scenic drive all in a single location. The nature area is located at the confluence of the Pudding River, Molalla River, and Willamette River, and the flood plains provide an important habitat for amphibians, reptiles, small mammals, deer, wading birds, and waterfowl. Canby Depot Museum
Housed inside one of the oldest railroad stations in the state of Oregon, the Canby Depot Museum has been a part of the local community for more than twenty years and the members of the Canby Historical Society, who operate the museum, continue with the organization and display of exhibits, artifacts, and photographs of historical significance. Today, the museum provides visitors with a look at what life was like in the Canby community during the nineteenth century. The Canby Depot was originally located at Grant Street and N. 1st Street when it was an active train station.

The Flower Farmer
The Flower Farmer is a family-friendly farm situated near the Willamette River in the scenic Willamette Valley. Visitors can even reach the farm by way of the historic Canby Ferry that travels along the river. There are a wide variety of activities for both kids and adults at The Flower Farmer, such as taking a tour through the pumpkin patches in the fall or fields of fresh flowers and taking a ride aboard the miniature railroad known as the Phoenix & Holly. Guests can also spend some time visiting the resident farm animals or buy cut flowers from July through September.

Morning Shade Farm
Set in a quiet, beautiful country setting in Canby, Morning Shade Farm offers a variety of U-pick opportunities throughout the year. During September and October, the farm is typically open on Saturday for already picked and u-pick orchard fruit, squash, elderberries, tomatoes, and more. There are also numerous varieties of U-pick blueberries available, depending on the season, as well as pumpkins, pears, plums, several varieties of apples, kiwis, currants, blackberries, and boysenberries. The Morning Shade Farm facilities include hand washing facilities, flush toilets, and picnic tables for visitors to use. For most of the year, the farm is open by appointment.
