Persimmon Hollow Brewing Co. was the vision of homebrewers Andy Sistrunk and Robbie Carelli, who opened the downtown DeLand brewery in 2014. The brewery is located within the city’s hip SoNY neighborhood, which is also home to a variety of arts studios, boutiques, and a regular Friday night open-air market. Core taproom beers include the brewery’s Daytona Dirty Blonde Ale, Beach Hippie IPA, Paddle Wheeler Red Ale, Vacation Wheat American Wheat Ale, and 3 Wise Guys Coffee Porter. Red and white wines are also served at the pet-friendly taproom, which hosts events such as trivia nights and yoga groups. Visitors are welcome to purchase food at the adjacent Neighbors Artisan Taquiera or bring in their own outside food.

7venth Sun Brewing Company


7venth Sun Brewing Company was opened in January of 2012 by Devon Kreps and Justin Stange, former brewers at Atlanta’s Sweetwater Brewery. The brewery offers two taproom locations, one along Dunedin’s waterfront and the other within Tampa’s Seminole Heights neighborhood. The Tampa location offers a larger taproom facility and a 15-barrel brewing system for higher production volume. Year-round offerings at both taprooms include the brewery’s Mangrove Double IPA, Wolfman’s Berliner Weisse, Graffiti Orange American Wheat, Kitty Likes the Milk Stout, and Intergalactic American Pale Ale. Other seasonal and limited release beers emphasize barrel-aged brews, sour ales, saisons, and imperial IPA and stout styles.

Funky Buddha Brewery is a large Florida brewery with its headquarters in Oakland Park, and is owned by Constellation Brands. The brewery started its life in Boca Raton as a small brewhouse with a hookah lounge and live music.

In 2010, the owners started brewing their own beer and named the brewery Funky Buddha Lounge and Brewery. In 2012, they started using the Cigar City Brewing system and begin distribution. They also opened a home brew supply store at the brewery lounge. Their Boca Raton location has a 55 US gallon brewhouse and a popular taproom. They offer tours of the brewery on weekends. Funky Buddha Brewery is credited as helping to drive the now thriving local craft brewing scene.

3 Daughters Brewing is Florida's largest independent brewery, originally opened in 2014 by married duo Leigh and Mike Harting. Coppertail Brewing Co. has been operating out of Tampa’s Ybor neighborhood since 2014, founded to bring quality locally-brewed beer to the region. The brewery is named after a fictional sea monster created by the brewery owner’s daughter, which is said to reside within Tampa Bay. Its family-friendly and dog-friendly tasting room offers 20 taps and a full wine list, with brewery tours available Thursdays through Sundays. Core beers include the brewery’s Free Dive IPA, Unholy Belgian-American Trippel, Night Swim Robust Porter, and Independent German-style Pilsner. Cycle Brewing is a bike-themed brewery and taproom in St. Petersburg that replaced the beloved Peg’s Cantina restaurant when it shuttered its doors in 2013. The brewery was opened by Doug Dozark, the son of the former restaurant owners, and is meant to symbolize a shifting of gears for the local institution. It is open seven days a week and offers pints, tastings, and growler fills, with discount sales available on Mondays. Popular brews include the brewery’s Crank American IPA, Cream and Sugar Please Porter, and RareR DOS Imperial Stout. Barrel-aged and imperial specialties emphasize unique ingredients such as coffee, chiles, hazelnut, and cinnamon.

Grayton Beer Company is an Independent Craft Brewers Association-certified microbrewery that has received major regional awards throughout the Emerald Coast, including the 2017 Best of the Emerald Coast award from Emerald Coast Magazine and the Best in Destin Reader’s Choice Award from VIP Destin Magazine. The brewery was opened in 2011 by Candace and Jamey Price and offers a taproom that is open to the public Mondays through Saturdays, featuring beer tastings, sales, and brewery tours. Intuition Ale Works was established in Jacksonville in 2010 by local winemaker Ben Davis and specializes in small-batch handcrafted ales in a variety of flavorful and unique styles. Riptide Brewing Company was the vision of friends Scott Alexander, Bob Menzies, and Norm Scherner, former homebrewers who converted their passion into a small business that opened to the public in November of 2015.
