Hansen Bay Beach is a beautiful crescent of powder soft sand lapped by the protected waters of Hansen Bay. The bay is located at the East End of St. John Island, and is actually home to a string of beaches, of which Vie’s Beach is the first one you will find. For many years Vie, who lived at the edge of the beach, ran a snack shack on the site. While the snack shop no long exists, many people still fondly refer to this first crescent as Vie’s Beach. Most people come to Hansen Bay Beach to enjoy the outstanding snorkeling on offer. The beach offers a shallow entry and the marine life is excellent on both sides of the bay.
