Hollabaugh Brothers have been working the land near Yellow Hill since the 1950s when they sold their produce from a shed across from its current location. As the family grew over the years so did the farm including a brand new market that employs over sixty members of the close-knit community. Visitors are welcome to take a tour of the farm, learn from one of the many classes, or pick fruits and vegetables. Hollabaugh Brothers host dozens of community events, especially during the holiday seasons. The Farm Market has an in-house bakery, an ice cream parlor, and a selection of prepared meals and dishes to make a healthy dinner at home.

Kiyokawa Family Orchards, Oregon
Kiyokawa Family Orchards, located at the base of Mt Hood, is a family-run farm growing produce since 1911. The rich soil and glacial waters provide the ideal growing conditions for over 120 varieties of apples, pears, and Asian pears. Three generations have continued to grow the finest quality produce in the valley. Visitors will always remember the astonishing views of Mt Hood, the picturesque sprawling orchards, and the serene picnic spots. The play area gives kids a place to run and explore while parents take in the peaceful Hood River Valley. Alyson’s Orchard, New Hampshire
Alyson’s Orchard was created in the 1980s and is located in the lush Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire. Visitors enjoy strolling through the colorful orchard to choose fruit straight from the trees. Pickers will find over 37 varieties of apples as well as numerous other fruit trees such as peaches, quinces, and plums. Along with the forest of fruit trees, guests can pick plump raspberries and blueberries from the many bushes on site. A large selection of locally made crafts are available for purchase at the farm stand and kids enjoy time at the playground or visiting the goats at Alyson’s Orchard.

Apple Holler is four seasons of family farm entertainment with fruit picking from the orchards to pumpkin picking during the fall harvest. Visitors can take tours of the farm to learn all about what it takes to grow the food we eat. Other seasonal activities at Apple Holler include harvest moon hayrides and romantic winter sleigh rides through the snowy orchard. The restaurant, located in a refurbished dairy farm barn, is a farm-to-table dining experience offering a fully stocked breakfast buffet on weekends featuring made from scratch bread and biscuits and a fresh fruit bar. The country store and bakery is a great place to purchase fresh-made pies or gifts for the holidays.

Applecrest Farm Orchards, New Hampshire
Applecrest Farm Orchards has a long-standing history of apple farming and is the oldest continuously run orchard in the United States. The apple train of old may not pass through anymore but four generations of family traditions live on today. Visitors are greeted by an abundance of fruit trees including apples and peaches, gardens of vegetables, pumpkins, and sweet corn. Inside the 200-year-old barn, guests can buy jugs of apple cider, fresh and famous hot cider donuts, and a number of locally made items. Cherry Lane Orchards consists of a 13-acre family-owned orchard of tart cherry and sweet apple trees. Froberg’s Farm, Texas
Froberg’s Farm offers fruit and vegetable picking sessions throughout the different growing seasons. The most popular pick, strawberries, begins in January and concludes in late May. The citrus trees on the farm are ready for harvest starting the first weekend in November and every weekend after through January. The annual Fall Festival hosts a corn maze, an indoor pumpkin patch, carnival-style games, flower picking, and plenty of family-fun photo opportunities. The Fall Festival at Froberg’s Farm features a playground of slides, swings, gliders, and mountains to climb. Kids have an exciting time searching for sparkling treasure at the festival’s Mining Sluice.

Great Country Farms can be found at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 400-acres of fertile land with fruit trees and gardens filled with seasonal favorites. Honey Pot Hill Orchards, Massachusetts
Honey Pot Hill Orchards is famous for its intricate hedge mazes, the Big Green Monster Hedge, the Mini Monster, and the favorite of 4-9 year-olds, the Tunnel hedge maze. This pick-your-own farm has 17 varieties of pickable apples beginning in early August and concluding in December. The Farm Store has additional varieties of apples for sale as well as an assortment of pears, peaches, plums, and blueberries for sale when in season. Hurds Family Farm provides three seasons of family fun beginning with a market of locally grown summer vegetables. The pick-your-own season runs from summer to fall before spilling into the holiday seasons of pumpkin picking and Christmas trees. The change of seasons also brings out different activities for all ages. In the summer, visitors can take on the Farm Obstacle Course or cool off while learning about irrigation. Rittman Orchards is the result of a lifetime passion for farming and horticulture paired with the love of their home state of Ohio. Showcase of Florida is a 2500-acre citrus farm and cattle ranch that guests can tour while riding in an enormous monster truck. The safari adventure takes guests through the swamps, groves, and cattle fields in the giant 4x4 all-terrain vehicles. Among the watusi cattle in the pastures, visitors will likely spot the zebra who calls the ranch home. During the trek through the swamps, encounters with alligators, snakes, and exotic birds offer a glimpse of Florida’s wildlife. Showcase of Citrus also offers u-pick citrus excursions in their numerous groves of oranges, grapefruit, lemons, and limes. Sky Top Orchard, North Carolina
Sky Top Orchard began as a commercial apple grower for the local supermarkets in the late 1960s but something didn’t feel right about picking apples before they’re ready. Now the family operation serves the general public first-hand by opening u-pick tours when the apples are at the peak of their perfection. The 100-acre orchard is perched atop Mt McAlpine in the South Mountains, an ancient isolated remnant of the Appalachians. Sky Top Orchard charges no admission fee to use the picnic areas or to visit the playground, animal farm, or explore the bamboo forest. Apple pickers, however, must pre-pay for u-pick tours with an attendant to receive a collecting basket.

Soons Orchards was founded by an electrical engineer turned dairy farmer in 1910. William Soons had found a passion for horticulture as a boy and he found the opportunity to plant trees of all kinds that generations later is now the thriving orchard of today. This long-time orchard and farm market features Scotty’s Country Kitchen created in 1987 where made from scratch pies, cookies, and cakes are baked with care. The Farm Store offers seasonal produce as well as local cheeses and dairy products, and local beef and pork from Lowland Farm. The Tasting Room serves a collection of New York beers, spirits, and wine, alongside the Orchard’s own hard cider.

Southern Belle Farm is the result of five-generations of hard work and agricultural education at there current location. The Carter Family took a small farm and expanded it into an agritourism farm where people can learn about the labor that goes into producing the fruit available on the farm. Stribling Orchard, Virginia
Stribling Orchard has 200 years of farming history on this family acreage in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Summer peaches are ripe for picking in July and August followed by bushels of apples from mid-August to November. Summer weekends are filled with the smells of fresh-baked pies, cakes, and their famous Apple-Cinnamon-Raisin Bread. Fall brings out the apple cider and pumpkins for holiday pies. Construction of the farmhouse, Mountain View, began in the 1700s, was purchased by Dr. Stribling in 1812, and houses the current generation of today. The orchard is home to 2500 apple trees, 800 peach trees.
