Turtle Inn is a beachside hideaway between Seine Bight and the charming Creole fishing village of Placencia in Belize. Established by Francis and Eleanor Coppola in 2001, this idyllic refuge was designed for discerning guests wanting an adventure-filled getaway or relaxing break on the beautiful island of Belize. Turtle Inn offers a variety of luxurious accommodations, ranging from Garden View, Poolside and Sea View Cottages, and Villas to larger abodes such as Starfish Cottage, Francis’ Family Pavilion, Sofia’s Beach House and the private island of Coral Caye.
Garden View, Poolside, and Sea View Cottages are decorated in Balinese-style décor, and hand carved wooden furnishings with king or queen-size beds in luxe linens, spacious en-suite bathrooms with Japanese baths, walk-in showers, plush bathrobes and branded bath products. Private walled gardens have outdoor showers, and screened porches boast beautiful garden, swimming pool or ocean views.
Garden View and Seafront Villas are located just a few steps away from the sea and feature two king bedrooms with two en-suite bathrooms, living and dining areas, gardens with outdoor showers and extended screened porches with beautiful garden or sea views.
Starfish Cottage is a double level seafront cottage that features a fully equipped with a kitchen, dining area, spacious living room, two air-conditioned bedrooms and two bathrooms (one on each floor). The romantic cottage also has a private deck and swimming pool, and special additions can be added such as a private butler, a golf cart for drives into Placencia, or yoga classes on the cottage deck.
Francis' Family Pavilion is an exclusive Balinese-inspired pavilion surrounded on three sides by a high walled garden with private access to the beach. The Pavilion features antique hand-carved wooden décor, stone sculptures, and original artworks, and offers two king bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a third loft bedroom accessed by a ladder. Two bathrooms are linked to gardens with outdoor showers, and a spacious living room has comfortable sofas, a writing desk and chair, and a stylish wet bar area with an espresso machine and refrigerator. An open-air, thatch-roofed dining terrace overlooks the swimming pool and tropical garden and boasts spectacular ocean views. Special extras can be added such as a golf cart for drives into Placencia, a private butler, or yoga classes on the cottage deck.
Designed by architect Laurent Deroo, Sofia's Beach House is a luxurious seaside getaway made up of an open-plan main house and two guest bungalows. The exclusive tropical hideaway is just steps from the ocean and features a full kitchen, an open-air living and dining room, a seafront media room for movies and games, and a full bathroom on the main floor. The second floor houses a master bedroom and en-suite bathroom and a children’s bedroom with bathroom. The Beach House also offers a private pool and outdoor barbecue, a personal butler, and bicycles.

Turtle Inn offers no less than seven dining establishments serving all types of cuisine from ocean-fresh seafood and traditional Italian fare at Mare Restaurant and Balinese-inspired cuisine at the Gauguin Grill to traditional Belizean food at Aunt Luba’s Kitchen and signature cocktails at the Skip White Bar.
