The Phoenix International Raceway, or ISM Raceway, is a tri-oval, low-banked race track that is one mile in length. As such, it is one of just thirteen raceways on NASCAR’s schedule to hold more than just one NASCAR race weekend annually. The motor track also features lights around the raceway and can seat approximately 51,000 people in the grandstand.

The Harkins Theatres chain is has been owned and operated by the Harkins family since the year 1933, founded by Dwight “Red” Harkins. The movie theater business is the fifth largest in all of North America, with thirty-four theatres across five states. With over eighty years of quite a colorful history, the business is still one of the leading entertainment companies in the southwest region of the United States. Red opened his first movie theater, The State Theatre, in 1933 in Tempe, Arizona at just eighteen years of age, making him possibly the world’s youngest theater owner and operator.

8-Bit Aleworks
8-Bit Aleworks in Avondale, Arizona is a craft microbrewery with a theme of retro games. The brewery was founded by Krystina and Ryan Whitten, and the couple opened the production-style facility in 2015. Situated within an industrial complex, 8-Bit Aleworks is focused on creating refreshing and unique craft beers in small batches. The microbrewery features a tasting room with seating for 46 people, as well as Super Nintendo, NES, tabletop games, and arcade cabinets. The fun and relaxing atmosphere of the tasting room, along with the excellent service, certainly seem to complement the craft beer at this small brewery.

American Sports Centers
The American Sports Centers in Avondale, Arizona is the state’s largest multi-sport indoor facility, featuring 4,000 square feet of multi-purpose space, two indoor fields for soccer, four basketball courts, and six volleyball courts. On weekdays, the sports center hosts an array of leagues, clinics, and classes for all ages of athletes. During the weekends, special events, leagues, and tournaments are held year-round. Avondale Friendship Park
The Avondale Friendship Park is a great place for friends and family to get together and have some outdoor fun during the weekend. The park is open to all and is free to enter. Inside you will find large expanses of grass where you can play various games including soccer, baseball and soft ball. There are also tennis and basket ball courts. If you just feel like taking a walk you can explore the paved walking paths which are also great for rollerblading, skateboarding and for infant strollers.
There are shaded children’s playgrounds, restrooms and picnic areas as well as an enclosed dog park for Fido.

Flavors of Louisiana
Flavors of Louisiana is a well-known, home-style restaurant in Avondale. Established by Jennifer Landry Goff, the restaurant serves Cajun cuisine inspired by Jennifer’s mother from New Orleans and her father from White Castle, Louisiana. At Flavors, the cooking from these two areas are referred to as city Cajun and country cajun. Country Cajun is known for being spicy flavorful with sauces using a brown roux base, while city Cajun uses tomato base sauces and is spicy hot. Patricia and Martin moved from Jalisco, Mexico to the United States in the 1980’s. The Uptown Jungle is an indoor fun park that your children will love. Coldwater Golf Club
Scenically nestled in Phoenix’s West Valley, Coldwater Golf Club is bound to surprise and delight visiting golfers. Unlike most desert golf courses which are usually quite flat, this course has been designed to resemble the rolling links-style courses which are more commonly found in the UK.
